Iowa Wesleyan University — CLOSED, does not exist as an operating institution
Iowa Wesleyan University, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States
Iowa Wesleyan University closed permanently at the end of the 2022-23 academic year and voluntarily resigned its accreditation effective 31 May 2023; it cannot enroll students, issue I-20s, or operate any 1+1 dual-degree program, so it should be struck from the partner list entirely.

Things to know
The university's Board of Trustees voted to close on 28 March 2023, citing a $26 million USDA-backed debt, inflation, enrollment decline and a rejected state COVID-funding request. The Higher Learning Commission's own filing records a 'Voluntary Resignation of Accreditation,' effective 31 May 2023. Degrees conferred before closure remain valid, but there is no current institution to partner with.
This is the highest-priority finding in the whole review: any marketing that still lists Iowa Wesleyan as a live 1+1 master's partner is at least 2-3 years out of date and should be corrected immediately.
