What the scholarship covers

Automatic on admission, no separate application. Renewal after freshman year requires GPA 2.7/4.3 or above.

What you need

  • TOEFL 83 or IELTS 6.5 or TOEIC 720 or TEPS 326 or TOPIKiBT, for tests before 21 Jan 2026 (4.5 banding on/after that date). NOT required -- instruction is English-medium.
  • At least one standardized academic test required: SAT, ACT, AP, IB, GCE A-Level, or another recognised national exam.

  • Personal Statement -- 5 fixed prompts with strict character limits
  • Interview only 'if deemed necessary,' not universal.

Nationality-neutral wording (foreign citizenship, neither parent Korean) -- Mongolia not specifically named, but not excluded either.

No institution-specific statement on paid agents or AI-written essays was found in KAIST's 900-line admissions guide beyond a general zero-tolerance clause for falsified/counterfeit documents (bars reapplication up to 5 years).
