KAIST Graduate Scholarship (KGPS/KPS) and Global Korea Scholarship at KAIST

KAIST funds nearly all international graduate students through its own KGPS (master's) / KPS (PhD) scholarships or the government-wide Global Korea Scholarship, both covering full tuition plus a monthly stipend.
What the scholarship covers
~94% of KAIST's international students receive some form of financial support, per KAIST's own figures. GKS route also available (see KU/SNU entries and the dedicated GKS entry for the government-wide programme) and adds a round-trip airfare.
What you need
- TOEFL 83 or IELTS 6.5 or TOPIK 5Same bands as undergraduate. Level 5 exempts a GKS recipient from the otherwise-mandatory 1-year Korean language course.
- Relevant bachelor's degree for master's applicants.
