What the scholarship covers

The 'HeForShe IMPACT Champion Scholarship' (for students from less-developed countries) can cover 'full tuition fees and accommodation and general living allowance' per HKU's own description; exact figures unconfirmed. Other named awards: 'Future Leaders of the Year (FLY) Scholarship' (mentoring/start-up support) and an Engineering-only Global Scholarship (one-off, up to half tuition).

Things to know

A direct text search of HKU's international-qualifications page and its 2026 International Admissions Information PDF found no mention of 'Mongolia' at all. A separate HKU Belt and Road Scholarship exists for Belt & Road partner countries (Mongolia is a BRI partner country generally), but the word 'Mongolia' itself does not appear on the HKU pages fetched -- do not assume inclusion.

Weakest of the three Hong Kong universities researched -- CUHK names Mongolia explicitly (see that entry) and should be the lead recommendation over HKU unless HKU's scholarship amounts can be confirmed directly, e.g. by phone/email to HKU admissions.
